Regional Director of Business Development Matt Echaniz is in charge of 1st Global’s business development efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Matt consults with large multi-partner tax, accounting and legal firms that are currently offering financial services as part of their practice and helps them develop a comprehensive wealth management focus that utilizes state-of-the-art technologies and sophisticated management platforms. He also consults with professional firms that are considering adding financial services to their menu of service offerings.
Matt has worked in the financial services industry for more than 10 years with Ameriprise Financial. He first served as a financial advisor to clients, working with CPAs and estate planning attorneys to help his clients with their wealth management needs. He then spent five years as a vice president, running branches in Iowa, Hawaii, and Virginia. Matt spent his last year as a regional sales director for independent advisors in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Matt graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with Economics from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is a registered representative who has passed the FINRA Series 7, 9 ,10, 24, 53 and 63 examinations, and he holds the Virginia Life and Health Insurance license. Matt is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. |
