About Communities

1st Global Communities focuses on growing your business and connecting you with a community of peers facing similar business-building challenges and opportunities. Through a variety of sessions focused on technology, marketing and sales and advanced financial planning as well as designated time for collaboration with your peers, Communities will give you valuable insights and focus to increase your wealth management revenue and improve the value of your firm.

Communities 2019 is July 21–23 and will be held again at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star. This year, we restructured the registration fee to be more consistent with our other events and to provide you more flexibility in your lodging choice. The new, lower registration fee of $349 includes all event programming and training, as well as breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday. We have secured a special event rate of $199 per night at the Omni Frisco Hotel, or you can secure your own travel accommodations based on your preferences.

1st Global Communities provides hands-on learning experiences to help advisors and wealth management assistants grow their practice and achieve success.

This year, we will have three specific breakout tracks open to both advisors and wealth management assistants on Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning will feature WIN segment breakout sessions for advisors and is open to wealth management assistants as well. In addition, there will be wealth management assistant focused sessions on Tuesday morning.

Our opening keynote speaker, Chris Jeppesen, will help attendees identify and cultivate referral-driven new business opportunities and create a predictable and scalable business. Additional main stage speakers will cover the growth of after-tax wealth, running your book of business like a business and much more. The afternoon offers an opportunity for you to choose from three breakout tracks focused on Marketing and Sales, Technology and Advanced Financial Planning.

On Tuesday, Chris Palladino, Director of Advanced Strategies for Jackson National, will provide an overview of how annuities have evolved into dynamic financial planning vehicles that can accommodate a client’s accumulation, distribution and wealth transfer objectives. The breakout sessions to follow will provide attendees with an opportunity to engage with similar-sized peers to exchange best practices and takeaways from the Communities event. Just like the WIN Program, these sessions will be organized by production segment.

The three C’s of Communities represent content, conversations and commitment to client acquisition.

Content will be delivered by special guest speakers as well as by 1st Global leaders and subject-matter experts.

Conversations will be facilitated in workshops in which participants in many distinct communities can further discuss how the content delivered from the main stage can be implemented in their firms.

A commitment to action will be made by each participant, detailing ways he or she will implement what was learned at Communities to acquire new clients and serve them more completely.
