Emily James, CMP

Director of Events

Emily James is the director of events in the Marketing department at 1st Global. Emily manages the strategy, design and execution of all internal and external events, including our annual National Conference, Eagles Executive Forum incentive event and Communities educational sales conference. She also oversees global and regional events for 1st Global’s WIN Program, as well as employee events and programming. Her specialty is identifying cross-departmental connections in projects and working across a wide spectrum of stakeholders to craft experiences that inspire action with financial advisors, wealth management assistants and employees.

Emily received her bachelor’s degree in speech communications and public relations from the University of Central Arkansas. She joined 1st Global in 2009 and has served as event specialist, meeting and event planner, senior meeting and event planner and manager of the Wealth Management Academy prior to taking on her current role.

A certified meeting professional, Emily believes that meeting planners are uniquely qualified to create experiences that motivate people to change their realities and the realities of their clients. She appreciates that her role enables her to design meaningful events for financial service professionals because, through the exchange of new ideas, education and innovation, her work has real-time impact on families and businesses.
