Marc Alley

Head of Market Research

Marc Alley is the head of market research at 1st Global, where he founded the Market Research department when he joined the company as a market intelligence analyst in 2011. In his current role, through his in-house quantitative and qualitative studies, data mining and modeling, geodemographic research, consumer profiling, survey programming and design, and market trends and competitive research, he continues to be a key player in testing new business strategies and informing key decision makers before critical business decisions are made.

Marc received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Utah and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in business analytics (with an emphasis on big data) at the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to 1st Global, he gained valuable experience in his field as a consumer insights manager at Datamark, a market research manager at Lifetime Products and the director of market research at USANA. He appreciates that his career allows him to discover why businesses and clients make the various purchasing decisions they do and also loves the variety, breadth and depth of the projects he undertakes. He has received his Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) and is a member of the Market Research Association — he was even selected to be the keynote speaker in Chicago at the organization’s 2016 Corporate Researcher’s Conference.
